  1. video#1) people can improve where they live all over the world it really just takes that one person and others will follow. one of the easiest ways to make your a community a more pleasant place to live is simply to clean it up. avoiding waste prevents the buildup of trash that can contribute to litter problems and can save money for us and local businesses. the biggest obstacle for a better community is for safety a feeling of safety among the residents.

video#2) Zak oddly enough had been bullied led him to seek a nonviolent path. Being bullied gave him empathy and he realized over time that the empathy was more powerful than bigotry or hatred. It was this realization that helped him break a cycle of violence.

  2. Tried to send it through my phone but wouldn't go through
Videoclip1: one way a person or people can improve where I live is that there are a lot of house that are not occupied and that are bordered up and it makes the neighbors look very bad. If people come together and clean up those houses it would look a lot more appealing. It might even get new people to go and live there.

Videoclip2: zak ebrahim story is very inspiring to see that someone is brave enough to tell other people that their father was a terrorist and stand up and say that he will not follow in his fathers path and he will create a whole new one. To see someone come from a life like that and help others change how they see their whole life shows that there is hope for peace. Your race, religion, and skin color does not matter whatsoever. All that matters is who you are as a person and how you act.

  3. Video 1: Me being a fan of the arts, I really do like the idea of transforming nothing into something so eye popping and so vibrant. In the past there were only few community events that took place, where a lot of people come together to work on a issues in the community, but no one really thought a multitude of people in a community would come to support a large scaled mural on many different buildings. This idea has really spread out to further nations and in my opinion seems like a very great and fun way to get the community involved for a rewarding cause. Me being Haitian was even impressed that they took the project to the country of Haiti which I will be doing more research on. It's really intriguing how art can bring attract so many eyes to what was once a dump.

Video 2: Wow! Hearing a story like this real speaks on what kind of person Zak Ebrahim is. Placing myself in his situation as an average boy, it is totally necessary to have a father figure in your life; without one your future most of the time will be rough, just as it was for Zak. What made this story so inspirational was that through his adversity came strength and courage for what he truly believes is peace in society. To go against what you grew up knowing and believing really takes guts and a huge reality check of yourself. This also goes to show you that you should never judge anyone based on their personal backgrounds about where they came from, because change can occur at any moment and anytime but it just takes a rightful mind like Zak Ebrahim.

  4. Video 1: A way that people can improve where they live is to come together and help clean it up. If someone else sees someone trying to help improve where they live, they will try to help that person out and soon enough everyone will join in and help out too. The more people that help clean out a neighborhood, the better the neighborhood will look. Most people when they think of a certain part of the world they are quick to say "That place is dirty", but if they see people making an effort to clean it up and make it look like a good place to visit or live they might have a change in mind.

Video Clip 2: To see Zak Ebrahim tell his story about how his father was terrorist was truly inspiring. It just shows that just become someone in your family is doing something terrible, doesn't mean you have to follow in their footstep. If someone isn't a threat to you or your country there is no reason to treat them different just because their family is. The way you look doesn't define who you are, it's how you act. People should be worried about others actions rather than their appearance. Ebrahim showed people that not everyone is the same and gave people hope for good people out there.

  5. Video Clip 1: One way to improve the community I live in is by having better communication with each other if everyone was friends more than enemies a lot of chaos would be eliminated. When people are more friendly with each other and get to sit down and talk to one another ideas are created for example, the guys that visited different parts of the world would have barbecues with the people in the society which made them come together and beautify their community. That's why I think the increase of communication is need before anything can be done, two people can't transform one community the result of that would just be conflicts because many people might disagree with one's opinion that's why communication is needed.

  6. Video 1: I think it is very inspiring what they have accomplished in such an area. It's something no one has thought of, this shows the residents a simple process of community improvement and the beautiful outcome that comes with it. If I lived there it would motivate me to make it look even better, and take part in this ongoing project. In my town, I often think of ways to better the community over all. One thing that we are all capable o,f is throwing our garbage in the garbage cans, rather than on our streets.

Video2: it really is impressive how he was able to follow the non-violent path in life considering his family circumstances. Anyone else who looked up to their father would have followed in his footsteps and believed those same beliefs with such a young, naive mind. But he didn't, and he chose to believe in different things, he learned from the world himself, and now travels telling his story to better the lives of others. And that, is what I find most impressive about it.

  7. Article 1: There are many ways a person can improve there communities. Such as volunteering, cleaning up and and getting involved with the community. It's good to keep your community clean and it's good to volunteer. Every community needs help. Read to children at the local library. Sign up for meals on wheels, hospital service, or mentoring opportunities. You can also help your community look more nice by planting flowers or washing off graffiti from the buildings.

Article 2: Zak Ebrahim chose to not take his fathers path. He didn't want to be like him at the end he says; the son doesn't have to follow the ways of his father. That is true you get to decide who to be and what to do. I doubt it was easy for him to have a father like that. A man that hated everyone a man that killed so many. Who would blame Ebrahim for What his father did some people probably were just scared that he was going to become him, but he didn't. I liked the part he said his mother said that she was tired of all the hatred. He wasn't the only one going thru it. The whole family left his father they wanted to reject the violence.

  8. Video1: changing ones community doesn't have to be like anything they did in the video for starters. I agree with what charlee said on how all it takes is one thus starting the domino effect. Something so little as picking up stray garbage can be a start and you never you might inspire someone to make an even bigger change !

Video2: zak's past led him to stray from his fathers. Having been bullied in younger years open zak's eyes to realization that if that little was getting at him he can only imagine what his father was doing to others and their loved ones. Zak showed tremendous strength and courage not only straying from his fathers hatred and terrible past but to get up in front of those people and open up the way he did .

  9. video#1: one way a person can improve the community in which I live in or any community around the world would be by maintaining the streets/sidewalks clean, have garbage cans in each corner, having abandoned houses makes the community look poor, in order to prevent that the hoses should be re-modified.

Video#2: Zak Ebrahim had an inspiring story, most people would think that just because he is son of a terrorist he is going to be the same as his father. At a very young age he has been bullied in school, he knows what a bad father he has and what his father has done, and realized that he doesnt want to be like his father, he realized that he's more peaceful than violent.

  10. video#1 In movies I see the people of a certain town come together and have little fairs or holiday fests and everyone knows everyone in the neighborhood and everyone comes together like a true community. I feel like this community should try to do little things such as this in order to make the community better and to inform you who actually lives in your community with you and your family. This would be a great way to show support in the community we live in.
    video#2
Zak Ebrahim is an extremely brave individual because he was able to overcome his past and the way he grew up to become an individual who stands for peace and love rather than hate and destruction. I completely commend him because he was raised to be judgmental and violent and he was also bullied as a child however he made the decision to live his life in the opposite direction and better himself and the well being of others too.

  11. Video 1: The guys in the video are really passionate and generous for what they did. To improve our community, I think that it just takes one person or a group of people to come together and take a stand. I believe that there should be a group of people who can plant gardens and start vegetable and fruit stands. This would be very positive for our community. There would be less focus on drugs and other negative influences. It would be a great opportunity for the community to get together in a safe, positive environment.

Video 2: I think that it is remarkable and astonishing how Zak Ebrahim could be such a positive influence on people, when he was raised in a family of terrorists. People would automatically assume that he would be one too, but he knew that that it was most definitely wrong and that's not he path he was going to take. I also agree with Charlee Robinson with the fact that him being bullied gave him empathy because he was able to see the world from a victims point of view while his family never really had that perspective before.

  12. What the artist Jeroen and Dre did in Philadelphia and the favelas was simply amazing. They transformed the community and gave the people living there something to smile about. This shows that anybody can make a change in their community as long as they have the determination and perseverance. One way someone can improve their community is create a mural that expresses what your community is about. The mural would be placed at a major landmark in the or in the center of your community for everyone to see.

Video 2: Zak Ebrahim went through a lot of pain and struggles throughout his life. He was bullied, the son of a terrorist and he constantly moved, therefore he couldn't really make any friends. The biggest obstacle in his life was being the son of a terrorist. What Zak tries to express through his video is that you choose your own path and don't let others choose it for you. Zak created a new peacefull life from his own will and actions.

  13. video 1: In video 1, the way they were able to go to a community and want to help improve the society waa inspiring . They changed their communities into beautiful artwork , in the Favillas they were able to take a community thats surrounded by violenxe and give the families in these communitis hope . The people of the Favillas became closes through the process of painting these paintings , this story is very inspirational.

Video2: Zak is very couragious to come out and be open with the fact that hes the son of a terroist and that his father and uncles had involvement in 9-11. Zak is also very wise , like he stated his uncles throught he would follow in his fathers footsteps and did the exact opposite because he knew that was of thinking was wrong. Zak didnt let his fathers decisions, believes , and hatred sway his decision in who he wanted to be .

Video 2: Zak was greatly influenced negatively throughout his life due to what his father believed in and as a child he had no choice but to listen. His father taught him to hate people of different races and sexuality but due to great experiences he had he realized what his father said didn't seem right and changed the way he viewed people. Without those experiences Zak probably wouldn't have changed the way he was because he was always around his dad and moved place to place frequently so he would never find anyone to tell him different.

  15. Video 1: This video shows the beauty of a community coming together to make a beautiful work of art. These two guys came together and made those "slums" that most people would look down on , look beautiful with amazing works of art. One way a person can help the community i live in is to make us more connected. We don't communicate as a community.

Video 2: Zak was raised based on the hatred of others who were different, yet he chose to use what he learned in a way which would help others. His being bullied helped him to become the person he is today, a person who would risk his life in telling his story to help someone else not go down a path of violence and destruction.

  16. Video 1; I like how the two guys didn't just paint during the day and immediately return to a hotel afterwards during their time in Rio, they actually spent time a lot of time with the people in the communities and getting to know them. The two guys were able to transform the run down community with their art projects, bringing the people closer together. What we can do to improve our neighborhoods is, as others have said, take part in cleaning up our streets. Its as simple as just throwing away all your garbage in proper containers and not just on the streets, and if you see simple litter on the streets, it would not hurt to pick it up and throw it away properly. As a school, I’m sure the Art Honor Society could organize for students to take part in painting murals on empty walls throughout the town, it couldn't be too difficult to organize and take part in.

Video 2: Instead of running away from his past, Zak Ebrahim accepted it and hopes others can learn from his past experiences. It takes a lot for someone to go against what they have grown with to believe, for Ebrahim, not going down the same road as his father is probably one of the hardest things he will ever have to do, its like going against himself because those ideas were how he was raised. I agree with what Kimberly says about seeing someone come from a life like his and decides to help others change for the better shows that there is still hope for peace. It is important to continue the spread of idea of equality, because once the game is over, the King and Pawn go back in the same box.
